DRILLS AND EXERCISES
Exercises demonstrate competence in emergency response functions. Exercises benefit both personnel, who gain experience in fulfilling roles they may be expected to fill during an emergency, and the organization itself by improving its emergency response and management capabilities.  Exercises allow hospital, healthcare, public health and other business personnel to train and practice prevention, protection, response and recovery operations in a risk-free environment. They are a valuable tool for assessing and improving performance, while preparing for major incidents. Through exercises, organizations gain objective assessments of their capabilities so that gaps, deficiencies and vulnerabilities are addressed prior to a real world incident.
